Gumpy's Closet
(my side hustle for Vintage)
Branding • Hunting and Curation • Retail Experience • Digital
Gumpy's Closet is the shop I built for the part of me that never grew out of digging through record crates and rusted-out vintage racks hunting for the one piece that still has a heartbeat in it. Think a saloon that got a disco ball installed sometime in 1974 and never took it back down — acid wester, dusty light, trippy swirl patterns on the wall, a grumpy little mascot grinning at the door because he's secretly thrilled you walked in. Don't be grumpy, come to Gumpy's.
Every piece in here gets picked, not sourced. Vintage clothing that's actually lived a life before it gets to you. A wall of curated, eclectic vinyl for the record diggers. Original and printed art pulled from that same warped, sun-bleached, glitter-dusted world the rest of the shop lives in. Nothing here is trying to look old — it just is, and it's better for it.
This one's mine. No client, no brief but the one in my head. Gumpy's Closet, Atlanta, GA — where the vintage record store, the western revival, and the last great disco all agreed to share a floor plan.
